Congratulations, you’re engaged!! Now comes the fun part, right? Once you have narrowed down your venue and chosen your date, it’s time to really start the planning! Here are a few tips to follow so that you don’t get overwhelmed during the process.
- Find someone close to you who you can lean on – it may your best friend, mom or even your Groom. You may need them to help you make those little decisions that you just can’t make because you like both choices, or to make that quick little phone call you need. Make sure this person is excited to help you out, but is also going to help get things done.
- Find Vendors you know you can trust and be sure to love their work. Research vendors before booking, look at photos and talk to their past clients. Knowing that you can tell them what you want and it will be executed properly will save you from worrying about it later!
- Stay organized. Make yourself a binder and keep contracts from your Venue and Vendors. Throw some inspiration photos in there so that when you meet with your Vendors you can show them what you’re looking for. Once everyone is booked, create yourself a spreadsheet with contact information, payment due dates and other important reminders.
- Don’t sweat the small stuff- no matter how much planning you do, there is a chance some things may not go according to plan and that’s ok! Keep calm and remember what it’s all about! At the end of the day it will still be your Happily Ever After.
