What was your favorite part of working with the Merri-Makers team?
The Merri-Makers team made the entire process seamless from the start. They helped us plan our timeline and all of the important details – they really think of everything. The constant support for Lauren throughout planning and from the entire team on wedding day made what could have been a stressful time super calming. The bridal attendants were the best and we were especially grateful to have them by our side on wedding day.
What was your favorite food of the night? Which dish were guests raving about?
| Our guests especially love cocktail hour and the lobster rolls. Will being from Massachusetts, many of our guests felt that was a person touch and they were delicious too! The desserts were also a huge hit – our guests loved the ice cream sandwiches and milk & cookies. |
What was your favorite photo spot of the venue?
Our favorite location at the venue was the deck/patio area (where cocktail hour was held) and the chapel. The chapel had beautiful views of seagrass and let in just the perfect amount of sunlight. We feel the venue embodied all the best parts of the Jersey Shore.
Was there a theme to your wedding? Tell us about your wedding colors and aesthetic!
The theme of our wedding was coastal/Cape Cod.- think blues and whites and hydrangeas. My husband grew up in Cape Cod and I grew up taking trips to LBI, so it was important to us to have an elegant Nantucket vibe that was also laid back and beachy.
How did you and your partner meet? Share your love story with us!
Will and I met at the University of Tampa where we both attended college. We were first introduced by a mutual friend at the pool and hit it of immediately – we started dating our freshman year of college and have been together ever since. Our mutual love for the beach and golden retrievers is what first connected each other, but we have truly become each other best friends and can’t imagine doing life with anyone else. We continue to live in Florida but we hope to one day move back to the Northeast, closer to our roots (and our family and friends).
What made you select this venue?
| We loved that the venue was mostly all-inclusive with catering and liquor. There were less decisions we had to make and we loved that! The Merri-Makers team was involved and supportive during the planning process. It really felt like we had a team of people by our side helping to make the day perfect. |
