What was your favorite part of working with the Merri-Makers team?
We truly appreciated the personalized experience we had while working with them. From the beginning, we felt like our vision was heard and supported. We loved that we were able to make custom changes to the cocktail hour and wedding menu to reflect our preferences—it made the entire celebration feel unique to us. They were also incredibly thoughtful in accommodating all of our dietary restrictions. Most importantly, the attention to detail ensured that every moment of our timeline went exactly as planned. We felt confident and cared for throughout the entire process, and that made all the difference.
What was your favorite food of the night? Which dish were guests raving about?
| Guests were raving about the sliders – burgers, and pulled pork sliders. We both really enjoyed the potato pancake bar at the cocktail hour. Everyone loved the steak and salmon entrees, too. In addition, everyone loved all the food options at the after party – specifically the pork roll, egg, and cheese! |
What was your favorite photo spot of the venue?
Our favorite photo spots of the venue were the garden/courtyard area, and the dock (even though it was incredibly windy that day on the dock). We also love all our photos from the chapel, even though this was not the location of our ceremony.
Was there a theme to your wedding? Tell us about your wedding colors and aesthetic!
We wanted an overall coastal theme with a lot of blues and soft pastels included. Going to the beach has always been one of our favorite activities to do together, and we wanted that to reflect in our wedding theme, venue, and decor.
How did you and your partner meet? Share your love story with us!
| We met during our time at the University of Delaware, where we started out as friends before officially beginning to date during our sophomore year. Funny enough, we grew up just 30 minutes apart in New Jersey and even had some mutual friends in high school—but we didn’t cross paths until college. After graduation, we spent time navigating a long-distance relationship while Colleen was in graduate school in Connecticut, followed by clinical rotations and work in Florida for her career in occupational therapy. Now, we’re so happy to be living together in Florida! |
What made you select this venue?
The people we met on the day we toured the venue made us feel like this was the best place for us! We felt heard in what we wanted our wedding to look like. The overall style of the venue also fit our vision. We also loved the rooms upstairs that our wedding party could stay in overnight so we could continue to be surrounded by the people we love through that night and the next morning.
